Senior Director of Assessment, Parcc Inc.
Dr. Christyan Mitchell serves as CenterPoint’s Senior Director of Assessment. Prior to his work at CenterPoint, Christyan held the same role at Parcc Inc. Before that, he was the project director for the Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium. He also previously served as Chief Data Analyst for the Massachusetts Department of Education, and Senior Program Manager at Harcourt Assessment and WestEd.
Christyan received a doctorate in educational psychology from the University of Minnesota, with a concentration in measurement and cognitive psychology. While at University of Minnesota, he investigated and published in a variety of research areas related to the cognitive underpinnings of learning and measurement. Christyan lives outside of Los Angeles with his wife and their French Bulldog, Nigel.
