Senior Adviser
Wendi Anderson’s decades of experience as a high school English teacher, as the director of innovative assessment for the Arizona Department of Education, and as Parcc Inc.’s senior instructional designer for English language arts/literacy, have prepared her well to serve as a Senior Adviser for CenterPoint. She serves as a project manager for the organization, focusing on CenterPoint’s professional learning materials, along with coordinating the development and implementation of webinar and training offerings that focus on ELA/literacy topics.
In addition to her experiences with Parcc Inc. and the Arizona K–12 education system, she spent several years as a contract item and passage writer for CTB McGraw-Hill, writing for grade levels 3–10. She also began her career designing and facilitating preschool courses for the city of Tempe, Ariz.’s youth recreation program.
Wendi earned her bachelor’s degree in secondary education/English from Ottawa University and her master’s degree in secondary education/English from Northern Arizona University. An Arizona native, she currently resides in her hometown of Mesa. Wendi’s favorite teacher was Mr. Cole, who taught her in fifth and sixth grade, and helped her adjust to living in a new town, while helping improve her handwriting and her confidence.
